All of our staff members are avid pet and animal lovers and we train them to be responsible, devoted and detail-oriented animal care professionals who provide unparalleled customer service, veterinary medical knowledge, and animal care expertise to each and every guest.

In order to provide individualized care and attention to each pet/animal, we maintain a low 10:1 guest to staff ratio.

All of our staff members undergo thorough training through the Dog Gurus, industry leaders in safe canine off-leash dog play, canine behavior, body language, and safety. We believe that continuing education is the key to staff excellence, so we invest in development opportunities for each staff member.

When a veterinarian practice is Fear Free Certified, it implies that the facility has completed an exhaustive education program to learn how to soothe all animals  and improve their overall visits. Not only is it crucial for pets to be quiet and comfortable during their visits for their personal comfort, but a calm disposition also enables for more accurate checks and testing. Veterinarians must attend extra continuing education courses every year to maintain certification, ensuring that they are continually up to date on the newest care techniques.

As part of our Fear Free program, BlueBlood Veterinary Hospital provides the following services to make your pet’s visits as comfortable and stress-free as possible:

• Calming music is played in each exam room to aid in the relaxation of any apprehensive sensations. Pets who are calm and peaceful have reduced stress levels and heal faster, as well as a lower risk of problems following treatments or procedures.

• Sweets, delights, and more treats! We provide a range of appetizing foods for your pet to enjoy during their visits. If your pet has a favorite treat, bring a baggie full of it with you to their tests.

• Pheromones that are calming. Feliway and Adaptil include synthetic copies of pheromones that your pet is already familiar with and correlates with calm, familiar places and activities. Using these pheromones during your pet’s visits might help him or her relax and feel protected.
  Towels and mats are soft and comfortable. Pets feel more secure on softer, non-skid surfaces.
